Alabama and Florida DMA’s – in the capable hands of Parker Denson!

Rockin’ our southern world this summer in the art of drum majoring is our own southern gentleman, Parker Denson.  Parker has been a staff member for the George N. Parks Drum Major Academy® since 1996.  His education includes a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Auburn University and Master of Arts degree in Music from the University of Alabama / Tuscaloosa.  Parker is a former middle school band director as well as being a former college drum major at both the University of Alabama / Birmingham and the University of Arkansas / Fayetteville.

Parker’s expertise in the area of drum majoring, and as an educator, when coupled with his southern roots makes him the perfect person to head up our Academies in Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida.  And well, let’s face it, we love the guy so much and value all that he brings to DMA that we have him join us at a bunch of other locations as well:  Music For All, UNC/Charlotte, Liberty University/VA, and UNCO/Greeley!!

Other staff joining us in these two locations (Alabama & Florida) include Brian Wolfe, Erin Cooper, John Lanzillo, Karla Dixon, Bonnie Harper, and John Mange.  To learn more about each staff member jump on over to the DMA Website and click on Staff.

I’m looking forward to catching up with Parker tomorrow–I’m sure he has some great stories to share that I will be able to post here about.  More soon!
