BOA 2007 Comes to an End

The final day of the Summer Symposium at Bands of America has come and gone. A week spent with 623 drum majors can be many things, and in this case it was EXTRAORDINARY! The electricity in the air the incredible as the block entered the stadium for the final presentation.

Over 3,000 spectators (parents, friends, family members, band directors, etc.) were treated to a presentation by the 4 marching band related tracks: percussion, colorguard, marching band and drum majors. After demonstrating all the various conducting patterns the students were taught it was time for the final march off!

We started with 623 students and ended with just one:

Tania Schmitfranz of Alma High School in Arizona

CONGRATULATIONS!!

We hope everyone had as wonderful a time as the staff did—hope to see some of you again in 2008!
